Inside variegated moderate purplish red (59C) on a paler ground generally but on a light green ground above nectaries, throat light yellow-green (145D); outside variegated moderate purplish red (59C) on a paler ground, midveins with a strong to light yellow-green (144C/D) suffusion; dark red (187A) spots on basal part of each petal and a few papillawe in the throat; nectaries pale purplish pink (65D) hairy; stigma strong orange-yellow (22A); pollen strong brown (172A). Fls 190 mm wide; petals 105-100 x 40-50 mm, not ruffled, tips hardly recurved. Lvs alternate, 190 x 20 mm. Stems 1.15 m, green, with c4 fls from hairy buds. June. |
