Inside moderate purplish red/deep pink (185C/D), with a little light yellow-green (154D) above the nectaries; outside deep pink (185D), edged moderate red (185B) on a paler ground, midveins strong yellow-green (144B) at base, fading towards apex, tipped strong yellow-green (144A); nectaries deep pink (185D); moderate red (185B) spots on up to 1/4 of each petal and deep pink (185D) papillae in the throat; pollen moderate reddish brown (175A); stigma moderate orange and moderate orange-yellow (167A/D). Fls 240 mm wide; petals 120 x 45-60 mm, margins ruffled, tips slightly recurved. Lvs alternate, 200 x 20 mm. Stems 0.9 m, green, with 3-4 fls. June. |
