Inside white with a coral rose band suffusing out to a warm pink almost to edge on basal 1/2 of each petal, increasing amount of white shows towards the tips, very narrow dark margin in lower 1/2 of each petal; throat whiter around yellow-green of nectary; outside white (pink may show through); dark rose red spots over basal 2/3-3/4 of each petal; pollen rust red/orange. Fls up to 190mm wide, with an occasional extra petal; petals 107 x 70mm, very slightly ruffled, tips slightly recurved. Lvs alternate, up to 153 x 56mm, dark green, with brown petioles. Stems 2.0m, dark green, with c15 fls (incl. secondaries). Late July-late August. |
