Inside strong purplish red (60D) with ivory white edges, the midveins strong red (53C/D) changing to strong red (46A) towards the throat, which is strong yellow-green (144B) edged light greenish yellow (8B); outside moderate purplish red (186B), with yellowish white (155B) edges and light greenish yellow (4B) midveins; dark red (187A/B) spots over entire surface of each petal; nectaries spotted deep reddish purple (77A); pollen strong reddish orange (169A). Fls 280 mm wide; petals 135 x 65 mm, slightly ruffled, slightly recurved. Lvs alternate, 165 x 35 mm, mid green. Stems 1.2 m, green, with 5 fls. June (under glass). |
