Inside of tepals light orange (28C); throat light orange (28C) but heavily speckled moderate red (181A). Outside of tepals light orange (28C). Tiny and numerous spots create ‘speckling’ across basal half to two-thirds of tepal, with fewer spots in margins almost to tip, moderate red (181A); papillae few and inconspicuous, light orange (28C) with moderate red (181A) tips, at top of nectary furrow; nectaries pale yellow-green (157B), semi-open to open, ridges frosted. Fls 170 mm wide, double, not scented; tepals 90 × 47 mm, margins smooth, tips slightly recurved. Lvs 185 × 50 mm, scattered, deep yellowish green (141B). Stems 1.1 m, strong green (132C), with up to 7 fls. (average 6 fls). May-June. Hardiness strong. |
