Inside of tepals pale greenish yellow (2D), brilliant yellow (10A) from top of nectary furrow to tip along midvein line, (broader area of 10A colour on outer tepals); throat moderate yellow-green (139D). Outside of tepals pale greenish yellow (2D). Numerous tiny spots create dense ‘speckling’ across basal third of tepal (including throat) with a few spots in margins to halfway (fewer spots on outer tepals) spots moderate red (180C); papillae absent; nectaries greenish yellow, nectary ridges light yellow-green (145D), semi-open to closed; filaments pale greenish yellow (2D), pollen strong orange (26A); stigma pale purplish pink (55D). Fls 195 mm wide, single, not scented; tepals 103 × 47 mm, margins smooth, tips slightly recurved. Lvs 130 × 27 mm, scattered, strong yellow-green (143A). Stems 1.0 m (under glass), with up to 9 fls. (average 7 fls). May-June. Hardiness strong. |
