Inside of tepals (including midvein) light greenish yellow (4B); throat light yellow-green at base becoming light greenish yellow (4B) above. Outside of tepals (including midribs) light greenish yellow (4B) flushed yellow-green at base. Numerous tiny dark red (187A) spots and speckles in throat and across basal third (outer tepals) to half (inner tepals) with a few spots in tepal margins towards tip, though distal half mostly spot free. Papillae few to absent, small and inconspicuous, dark red (187A); nectaries closed, ridges frosted very pale green (192C); filaments brilliant yellow-green (154C), pollen moderate orange (167B); stigma moderate reddish brown (175A). Fls 180 mm wide, single, not scented; tepals 86 × 43 mm, margins smooth, tips slightly recurved. Lvs 150 × 20 mm, scattered, deep yellowish green (141A). Stems 1.0 m, deep yellowish green (141A), with up to 6 fls. (average 4 fls). May-June. Strong hardiness. |
