Inside of tepals dark red (59A); throat dark red (59A). Outside of tepals dark red (59A). Spots dark red (187A), relatively inconspicuous against the dark red tepal; papillae absent; nectaries dark red (59A), semi-open, ridges lightly frosted; filaments vivid reddish orange (41A), no pollen, residual anthers strong red/reddish orange (41B); stigma greyish reddish brown (200B) or dark purplish grey (N186A). Fls 170 mm wide, single, not scented; tepals 100 × 50 mm, margins smooth, tips slightly recurved; pedicel strong yellow-green (143B) with dark red flush. Lvs 140 × 21 mm, scattered, dark yellowish green (N134A). Stems 1.05 m (under glass), strong yellow-green (143B), with up to 6 fls. (average 5 fls). May-June. Strong hardiness. |
