Inside dark red (187B/C) becoming deep purplish red (187D) near apex, apical parts with a yellowish white (155D) edging of variable width, throat 155D shading into petal colour; outside deep purplish red (61A), apical parts with a yellowish white (155D) margin of variable width, midveins yellowish white (155D) suffused deep purplish red (61A), outer petals tipped strong yellow- green (144A); dark red (187A) spots and papillae on 2/3 of each petal; stigma dark greyish reddish brown/dark purple (200A/79A); pollen deep orange-yellow (163A). Fls 220mm wide; petals 115 x 50mm, margins ruffled, slightly recurved. Lvs alternate, 110 x 40mm, mid green. Stems 0.7m, dark, with c4 fls. |
