Inside deep red 185A, with dark red 187A at edges shading into main colour, throat deep red 185A alongside the strong yellow-green 143A and creamy white 159D nectaries; outside deep red 185A, becoming dark red 187A/B towards edges, tipped strong yellow-green 143B and brilliant greenish ylellow 5A; spots of dark red 187A over two thirds of each petal and with deep red 185A papillae along the nectaries; stigma greyish red 176A; pollen strong brown/dark reddish orange 172A/B. Fls 190 mm wide; petals 100 x35-45 mm, margins ruffled towards the slightly reflexed petal tips. Lvs alternate, 95 x 15 mm, dark green. Stems 1.6 m, with c3 fls, with pale anthocyanin stripes. |
