Inside with a white (155D) flame to centre of each petal, moderate purplish red (58A) towards the apex on a white ground, throat white (155D); outside white (155D), with a very pale suffusion of deep purplish red (61A), white (155D) at base, midveins strongly suffused ruby red at the base and tipped strong yellow-green (144B) – the colour shading out into petal; nectaries strong yellow-green (144B); white (155D) spots on 2/3 of each petal and white (155D) papillae in the throat; pollen strong brown (172A); stigma greyish yellow-green (148D) and more-or-less ruby red. Fls 230mm wide; petals 120 x 50-75mm, margins ruffled, tips recurved. Lvs alternate, 130 x 40mm, mid green. Stems 0.7m, green, with few fls. |
