Inside strong red (46A) on a vivid reddish orange (32A) ground, throat vivid reddish orange (32A), edged strong red; outside of inner petals vivid reddish orange (33B), with little stripes of strong red (46A) on basal part from base towards the edges, midveins moderate red (179A), outside of outer petals strong red (46A) on a vivid reddish orange (32A) ground; nectaries strong yellowish pink (35C) changing into vivid reddish orange (34B); no spots but with vivid reddish orange (33B) papillae; pollen dark reddish orange (175B); stigma dark red (187C). Fls 150 mm wide; petals 100 x 35-45 mm, not ruffled, tips recurved. Lvs alternate, 150 x 25 mm. Stems 1.15 m, green, with darker markings and c.6 fls. June-july. |
