Inside yellowish white (155D), suffused strong purplish red (59D), throat 155D; outside with a very pale suffusion of 59D on a 155D ground, midvein light yellow-green (150D) (shading to strong yellow-green (144C) at apex and base); nectaries strong yellow-green (144C); dark red (59A) spots on basal part of each petal and brilliant yellow (8A) papillae (with a little dark red (59A)) in the throat; stigma dark purple (79B); pollen strong brown (172A). Fls 200 mm wide, up-facing. Petals 155x35-55 mm, margins ruffled, tips recurved. Lvs alternate, 160x35 mm, dark green. Stem 0.9 m, pale green, with a little darker marking and 4-6 fls. |
