Inside moderate purplish red (58A) with narrow yellowish white (155D) edges and midveins deep purplish red (59B), the lower 1/2 of eack petal suffused strong red (53B) and the throat strong yellow-green (144C) edged light greenish yellow (8B); outside strong purplish red (59D), 'tube' spotted yellowish white (155D) and the midveins pale yellow-green (155A) suffused yellowish white (158D); dark red (187A) papillae on lower part of each petal; nectaries light yellow-green (154D); pollen strong orange (169C). Fls 180mm wide; petals 90 x 40mm, not ruffled, strongly recurved. Lvs alternate, 120 x 50mm, mid green. Stems 0.4m, pale green, with c7 fls. July (under glass). |
